Hannah Rose Bates

Expert Mentor
Brief info

Hi, my name is Hannah! I am a second-year vet student in the three-year veterinary program at the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine, pursuing a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. I am a cohort of the inaugural class and founder of the Food Animal Club, where I served as the President, focusing on bovine, small ruminants, and swine. I previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at Northern Arizona University. I am Arizona-born and raised and plan on becoming a cowboy gal veterinarian, servicing beef cattle, cow ponies, and ranch dogs. My interests include barrel racing, cowboying, and advocating for agriculture. I have three head of horses and three dogs. My western heritage, where I worked with horses and cows and first learned to doctor, led to my discovering that I wanted to become a veterinarian. Whether in the field or the branding pen, I have gone from learning to teaching everything from vaccinations to castrations.
